The Property
Contemporary Luxury house in the Cotswolds
This is the perfect contemporary haven in Gloucestershire to share with your favourite people, whether you're celebrating a birthday with friends, a wedding or just looking for a family getaway. A great base from which to explore the Cotswolds, Bristol and Bath, The White House is situated in one of the most attractive and historic parts of Tetbury.
Inside
- Style: Clean lines combine with kitsch furnishings and colourful photographs, in this contemporary, yet relaxed space.
- Bedrooms: In the main house there are seven bedrooms, 4 doubles/3 twins and three bath or shower rooms; 2 en suite. Head outside to the coach house where there is an Emperor 4-poster bed with huge wet room en suite. Additional accommodation for 10 is available at an extra cost - please enquire.
- For relaxation: Kick back and relax in the main sitting room, or spill through from the kitchen/diner into the snug area. If the weather is kind, head outside to the garden/BBQ area; where quirky furniture and fire pits combine. If you really want to take it easy, arrange therapeutic and rejuvenating treatments at the property (at an additional cost, by prior arrangement)
- For recreation: If it’s socialising that you enjoy, just across the lawn from the main house is an orangery - the perfect space in which to do just that. Whether you’re looking for a celebratory meal, or a more casual buffet set up. In the main house, there's a 24' Drawing Room and Snug to enjoy working your way through the classic film library or the PS2 game library.
- Practicalities: There is a laundry at the property with a washing machine and tumble dryer
Outside
Relax and enjoy the large modern garden with outdoor dining for up to 30 guests. If the evenings are warm, enjoy a BBQ, otherwise, you can simply huddle around the firepits. In the summer, play croquet on the lawn, or have a go at the ancient Viking game of Kubb.
Please note that there is just one private parking spot to the side of the property, although there is on road parking for a few cars to the front of the property if available. There is a free car park a 1/4 of a mile from the house. The garden cannot be used from 11pm to 7am except for access to the orangery.
Food and Wine
- DIY: In the main house there’s a large Xera kitchen; this space lends itself to the sociable, you won’t feel excluded as you get creative over dinner, as the rest of the group can be milling around in the dining room. There’s also a second kitchen in the orangery.
- In-house cuisine: Everything from a welcome hamper to an in-house chef can be arranged, or you can simply undertake the catering duties yourself.
- Eating out: There are lots of lovely places to eat just a short walk from the house, from enjoying a latte in the garden at Café 53 to great restaurant food at The Close and scrumptious pizzas at The Priory. Michelin-star Manor is just driving distance from the property.

- By car: The house is under two hours from London
- By train: The nearest train station is Kemble which is 15-mins from the house; trains take 1 hr 15 mins from Paddington
- By air: The property is around 1 ½ hrs from Bristol Airport, alternatively there is a private air field at Kemble

- Head to Calcot Manor for a spa day - bliss!
- Tetbury is one of the most beautiful Cotswold towns - built around its 17th century Market Hall – and is a real antiques and interior design centre, so plenty for the enthusiastic shopper!
- If you're feeling adventurous, there's horse riding, clay shooting and track racing available not too far from the property
